Wonderful Treasure
Ancil R, Charleston

"My family visits this wonderful treasure about once a month. It essentially recreates the rural Appalachian experience from over a century ago. A petting zoo, an old schoolhouse, an old country store, terrific exhibits, excellent crafts, good food. If you want your children to have an appreciation of their pioneer heritage, this is a superb experience. There is nice lodging if you want to more completely immerse yourself and your family in experiencing what it was like living in rural American in the 1800s and early 1900s. It frequently has special events, including old-time music and craft demonstrations, and an annual pass is terrific value. But whether you live in the area or travel there to step back into time, you won't regret your visit."  (TripAdvisor)

Fortunate To Visit
Paul D, Little Rock

"We were fortunate to visit the Farm this fall with a group and enjoy a catered dinner as well. The staff and owners were wonderfully accommodating, and my group was completely transfixed by the history and stories. For anyone visiting this area, if you miss the Heritage Farm, you miss a true slice of West Virginia life. My group stated, out of a 12-day trip, this had been the highlight and wished they had had more time. High praise, indeed!" (TripAdvisor)

Amazing Time

"We had an amazing time staying at Heritage Farm! Nestled in a private and beautifully scenic location, it was absolutely perfect for the wedding. I would recommend Heritage Farm for any event or just to tour. We loved our time there!" (Facebook)

Wonderful Day
Lori Woodrum, 4th Grade Teacher at Winfield Elementary School

“Thank you for such a wonderful day yesterday! Our students loved every minute of Revolutionary War Days! It was a great way to culminate our unit. Seventy students and 27 parents all had an enjoyable day. We hope to be able to attend again next year in the spring.”
