Steam Tractors.

Steam provided much of the motive power behind the agricultural explosion of the nineteenth century.  Alongside the railroad steam engines that hauled people from place to place and goods from farm to city were the steam powered farm tractors.

These smoke belching behemoths allowed a farmer to increase his productivity ten or twenty-fold.  The Heritage Farm Museum and Village features a growing collection of these steam workhorses.
